- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a sauté pan over medium-high heat, add the ground beef, onions, and green onions, carrot, salt and cook for 5-7 minutes; drain any liquid in the pan and set aside to cool.
- In a large mixing bowl add the taro and egg to the beef mixture and mix well.
- Add three tablespoons of butter to the sauté pan over medium-medium/high heat.
- Using an ice cream scooper, drop the taro and beef mixture into the pan and flatten with a spatula to form a patty.
- Fry the patties until golden brown on both sides (2-3 minutes).
- Drain patties on paper towel and serve with salad greens, rice or in a sandwich.
