- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Lightly oil an 8-inch square baking dish.
- In a large bowl, thoroughly mix all of the remaining ingredients, except for the optional cheese.
- To form the meatballs, pull a handful (about 1/2 cup) of the turkey mixture, form a ball, and place into baking dish.
- Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
- Remove foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes.
- Remove meatballs from the oven and sprinkle with cheese.
