Walnut Cake
- 12 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
- 3 cups walnuts, chopped
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) brandy
- 1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tablespoon ground cloves

- 2 cups water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 lemon
