Yakitori

Ingredients:

Yakitori

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • Bamboo skewers
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 small piece ginger root, crushed

Directions:

  1. Cut chicken into 1-inch pieces.
  2. Thread 3 pieces of chicken on each skewer.
  3. Combine remaining ingredients; marinate chicken for 30 minutes.
  4. Place skewers on rack of broiler pan and broil 3 inches from unit in electric oven for 5 minutes.
  5. Turn and broil for 3 more minutes.

Makes about 16 skewers.
