Yellow Rice
- 2 tablespoons salad oil
- 1 sprig curry leaves or 2 bay leaves
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 3 whole cloves
- 3 cardamom pods, crushed
- 1-inch stick cinnamon
- 5 cups long grain rice
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 2 cans (14 1/2 oz size) beef broth
- 2 cans (14 1/2 oz size) chicken broth
- Salt to taste
