Utility pole replacement Thurs. along Farrington Highway to close lane, block entrance to Waipahu Town Center

HONOLULU, March 3, 2025 – Hawaiian Electric crews will replace a utility pole along westbound Farrington Highway near Waipahu Town Center Thursday, March 6, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The work will partially close the far-right westbound lane of Farrington Hwy., blocking the highway entrance to the shopping center.

A message board has been posted to alert motorists of the upcoming work. Special duty police and flagmen will be onsite Thursday to assist motorists and pedestrians while crews are at work. Safety signs and traffic cones will mark the work zone.

Waipahu Town Center patrons are encouraged to use alternate entrances into the shopping center during the work. Motorists should avoid the area or drive with caution when approaching and passing the work zone and expect traffic delays.
